This July, a team from Headington Institute will return to Israel to continue our partnership Amal-Tikva, an organization that supports a diverse network of peacebuilding between Israelis and Palestinians. This visit marks the second year of a collaborative effort to embed trauma-informed approaches within the organizations and leaders shaping the region’s civil society.
Since 2024, Headington Institute has been working closely with Amal-Tikva to develop and apply trauma-informed organizational models tailored to the specific pressures faced by peacebuilders in the region. Over the past year, we have engaged in an ongoing process of consultation and training. Now, a year later, we are proud to return and expand our engagement, this time also supporting Amal-Tikva’s partner and member organizations directly.
As part of Amal-Tikva’s Resilient Peacebuilder Initiative, the organization is championing fieldwide efforts to build psychological resilience, mitigate burnout, and foster trauma-aware leadership practices across its network. Our upcoming in-person sessions will focus on trauma-informed leadership, stress and resilience strategies, psychosocial risk management, and organizational sustainability. The content will draw on over 20 years of Headington’s global practical field experience and psychological science.
At Headington Institute, we are honored to continue supporting this work. Our approach, as always, is grounded in the firm belief that psychological well-being is foundational to peacebuilding and social repair.
Amal-Tikva is setting a standard for what it means to support the people behind the work. We’re proud to stand with them in this effort. To learn more about their mission and the inspiring initiatives they lead, visit www.amal-tikva.org.
