A Letter from Our CEO

Hello friends of Headington Institute!

I’m writing to share exciting news about our continued evolution and reassure you that, despite the upcoming changes, we remain steadfast in our dedication to our core values and mission.

We recognize the need to adapt and embrace new approaches to address the ever-changing challenges faced by humanitarians and first responders working in high-stress environments. We firmly believe that growth is essential for progress, and by embracing change, we can better serve those who rely on us. In that spirit, we have embarked on a transformative journey, leveraging the power of innovation and learning from the lessons we have gathered along the way.

Over the next few months you will see our team:

  • Expand our reach and focus on creating sector-level changes in staff care building on our 22 years of research;
  • Share more about our strategic plan for the next three years;
  • Embrace a new visual identity that honors our past and looks to our future.

While our model is evolving to make an even greater impact, our vision of supporting staff working in high-stress environments is the same. We are dedicated to the fundamental principles that have guided us from the beginning. Our commitment to compassion, inclusivity, and empowering communities remains at the heart of everything we do.

As we evolve, we are harnessing the potential of technology, collaboration, and innovative approaches. It encompasses a deep understanding of the diverse needs of the communities we work with, and a commitment to amplifying their voices and agency. We will continue to forge partnerships and collaborate with local organizations and individuals, fostering sustainable solutions that promote self-reliance and long-term positive change.

We are incredibly grateful for your unwavering support throughout our journey, and we invite you to join us on this new and exciting path. Together, we can create a future where compassion and innovation intersect, where our collective efforts bring hope and transform lives.

Thank you for being an integral part of our organization’s growth and for believing in our vision. We look forward to continuing this incredible journey with you by our side.

With gratitude,

Dr. Diane Flannery, CEO
